Just a quick one. Mom is in the ICU for pneumonia. Luckily we caught it quick, and she's already doing better, but things just continue to be shitty. Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving, and hopefully better times are around the bend.

I should probably re-write the entire thing for better continuity, but let's see what you guys think. Set in Lawless County, a father and son head to the doctor to treat some injuries he got at school.
Even if it isn't the best written short, I could always expand it into a full short story sometime. Expect gayness in this one.
I swear it feels like things will never get better. Sigh. So I didn't get to work on this much and post it yesterday like I had hoped. Didn't get much sleep, was up all night with my stomach hurting, pulled a muscle in my back after my chair broke and I had to haul it out. Mom fell twice and can barely walk now, and tomorrow we have two more appointments. Good times.
I'm sorry if this short is ... short. Everything has just become so difficult, including writing.
Today was exhausting, but I should have a short to share tomorrow. Mom's ups and downs have been her medication I think, and her taking them incorrectly. Looks like I'll have to hold onto them all, which is more work, but when she's not zonked out she's actually doing rather well.

Mom was coughing up blood last week though, so things got really worrying. A week of antibiotics however and she's doing much better, so with less worry I was able to finish up this short.

She goes for her first immunotherapy tomorrow, so I'm hoping it goes well. At this point they don't think they can stop the cancer, so all they can try to do is slow it down. My writing has been slow the last week or so because of mom and health things. So yeah mom has cancer again, but we're looking into options on how to best treat it. My own throat has been hurting for more than a month now, and I can't get the hospital to schedule me an ultrasound, so things are kind of shit at the moment.
